Mrs. Mary Margaret Tevis, age 89, of 2750 Michigan Road, Madison, passed away at 3:40 a.m. Thursday, February 6, 1992 at King's Daughters' Hospital.

Born April 9, 1902 in Jefferson County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Jacob L. and Mary Alice (Robinson) Kloepfer, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Armenius (Art) Tevis in 1941.

Mrs. Tevis was retired in 1965 as an operator from the Indiana Telephone Corporation in Madison. She was a member of the Kent United Methodist Church.

SURVIVORS

Survivors include four daughters: Betty Goodpaster, Nashville, Indiana; Shirley Winters, Greensburg; Nancy Cook and Sandra Tevis, both of Madison; twelve grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.

SERVICES

A memorial service will be conducted by her three grandsons, Bruce Goodpaster, Brad Winters and Brian Cook at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 1992 at the Vail-Holt Funeral Home, Madison Chapel. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
