Jacob & Maria Kleopfer's Marriage License

Many thanks to Nancy Tevis Cook (great granddaughter) for providing this Certificate of Marriage for Jacob Kleopfer and Maria Schamback. Note the spelling of the names and the 1846 date that was written on the original notarized copy. The correct marriage date is believed to be September 10, 1846.

The certificate reads: State of Missouri, County of St. Louis: This is to satisfy that on the 10th day of September AD 1847 I united in the holy bonds of Matrimony according to the laws of the state of Missouri and the usages of the Evangelic Protestant Church Mr. Jacob Koepfer and Anna Maria Schambrok ???? under my hand this 4 day of January 1847 F Pirker Pastor
