Robert Kleopfer, 73, dies
Riverside - Robert Kleopfer, 73, of Riverside, died Jan. 17, 1994 at Parkview Manor, Wellman, following a lengthy illness.
Services will be held Wednesday at 10 a. m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Riverside; with the Rev. Rudy Berndt officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 2-8 p. m. Tuesday with a Rosary at 4 p. m. and 6:30 p. m. at Sorden's Funeral Home, Riverside. A memorial fund has been established.
Robert Kleopfer was born Aug. 25, 1920 in Washington County, to Ralph and Rose (Muller) Kleopfer. He married his wife, Marie, on June 7, 1945, in Riverside. He was an army veteran of World War II. He worked as a farmer and managed the VFW in Riverside. He was a member of the St. Mary's Church
Retired Fireman and was a softball player.
Survivors include: his wife, Marie Kleopfer, Riverside; two daughters, Karen Hawkins, Riverside, Kathy Hixson, Brighton; three sons, Douglas and Dan, both of Riverside, and Tom, Cedar Rapids; two sisters, Darlene Sojka, Riverside, Alberta Kos, Iowa City; one brother, Alphone Kleopfer, Richmond; and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one son-in-law.
