EDITH M. KLOEPFER, 76, of Cresskill, formerly of North Bergen, died Sunday. Before retiring in 1976, she was a clerk for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co., New York City. Surviving are three cousins, Leona Troeller of Tenafly, Barbara Rowe of Franklin Lakes, and Fred Schroeder of Wharton. Services are tonight at 7:30 at Riewerts Memorial Home, Bergenfield, with burial in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visiting is today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Carl Kloepfer was post office clerk
WHITE OAK
Carl J. "Buck" Kloepfer died April 2 at Good Samaritan Hospital of injuries from a car accident last month. The retired U.S. postal worker was 74.
Mr. Kloepfer was a 1939 graduate of Elder High School. He later worked as a clerk at the Cumminsville branch post officefor 30 years. He retired in 1984.
"He was the kindest man in the world. . . He adopted me 41 years ago and loved me more than any man could love a daughter," said his daughter, Carla Kloepfer Lee of Wilmington.
Mr. Kloepfer was a volunteer driver for the American Red Cross for the past 10 years. He also was a member of Seton Council No. 3376 Knights of Columbus.
Also surviving is his wife, Betty.
Services were held. Memorials can be sent to St. James Building Fund, 3565 Hubble Road, Cincinnati, 45247 or charity of choice.

BERTRAM J. ROBBINS, 77, who owned Robbins on the Corner men's clothier at Tejon Street and Colorado Avenue before retiring in 1959, died Feb. 13, 1996, in Mesa, Ariz.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. March 2 at Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel of Roses, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., with the Rev. Harold Shoemaker officiating. Inurnment will be at Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum.
Mr. Robbins was born June 14, 1918, in Colorado Springs to Merton M. and Katherine (Kloepfer) Robbins.
He was married April 30, 1951, in Raton, N.M., to Barbara L. Jones Scudder, who lives in Mesa.
Other survivors include a son, Bertram P. of Colorado Springs; three daughters, Sally Pflum of Colorado Springs, Carole Hill of Albuquerque, N.M., and Peggy Thorburn of Summit, Miss.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Robbins served with the Navy "Seabees" in World War II and received the Purple Heart.
A longtime Colorado Springs resident, he helped build cars for the Pikes Peak Hill Climb and was a member of the B.P.O.E. in Cripple Creek. In 1960, he moved to Arizona and was a member of Apache Lodge 69, AF&AM, Scottish Rite, the El Zaribah Shrine.
Mr. Robbins was a 32nd-degree Mason and a mechanic and enjoyed golf and fishing.

RICHLAND HILLS - Phillip Kloepfer, 80, a retired quality control worker for Bell Helicopter, died Tuesday at a North Richland Hills hospital.
Graveside service: Was Saturday in Oak Ridge Cemetery, in Inverness, Fla.

John P. Paris, 29, of Phoenix, Ariz., was killed Tuesday when his bicycle was hit by a car.
Born in Reading, he is a son of Gerald A. Paris Sr. of Womelsdorf and Nancy L. Kloepfer McGarrity of New Providence.
Paris had been employed as a kitchen line worker by Hilton Hotel at the Point, Phoenix.
Surviving besides his parents are a brother, Gerald A. Jr. of Fleetwood; two sisters, Tina M., wife of Jeff L. Bailey of Bethel, and April L., wife of Paul T. Naftzinger of Shartlesville; paternal grandmother Emily Paris of Reading; maternal grandmother Esther Dealy of Lebanon; and grandparents Paul and Ella Martin of Landis Homes, Lititz.
